The Nordex Group has announced a significant new Nordex 110MW Türkiye order from existing customer Eksim Enerji A.Ş. This agreement will see the delivery and installation of sixteen N175/6.X wind turbines, collectively contributing 110MW of installed capacity to Türkiye’s renewable energy landscape. The turbines are destined for the Balikesir-3 wind farm, situated in the Sındırgı district of the Balıkesir province.
Installation of these state-of-the-art wind turbines will feature tubular steel towers with a hub height of 119 meters. Notably, the units will be delivered in a Cold Climate Version, indicating their suitability for varied environmental conditions. Beyond the physical supply and erection of the turbines, the comprehensive contract includes a 10-year Premium Service Agreement. This extended service commitment is designed to ensure the optimal long-term availability and performance of the wind farm assets.
The Balikesir-3 wind farm project is set to be constructed in a region recognized for its favorable wind conditions and elevations ranging from 800 to 950 meters above sea level. Eksim Enerji A.Ş. is a well-established client of the Nordex Group, with their collaborative relationship dating back to 2010. The cumulative installed wind energy capacity of Eksim Enerji A.Ş. now stands at 832.8MW, underscoring their commitment to renewable energy development.
Ender Ozatay, Vice President Region Türkiye and Mid East for the Nordex Group, said, “This new order from Eksim Enerji once again underlines the strength of our long‑standing partnership, which has been built on trust and successful collaboration for more than 15 years.”
Türkiye represents a pivotal market for the Nordex Group. Since 2017, the company has held the position of market leader in the country, commanding an approximate market share of 32 percent. The turbines designated for the Balikesir-3 wind farm are fully compliant with local content stipulations as outlined in the YEKA-2025 specification. This adherence is crucial for fostering domestic manufacturing and generating value within Türkiye.
