Bushehr nuclear power unit reaches full capacity

AI Summary

Unit 1 at Iran’s Bushehr nuclear power plant has reached full capacity.

A total of 54 fuel assemblies were reloaded and maintenance was also performed on the unit before the restart, according to presstv.com. The announcement was made by NIAEP-ASE, a joint venture with Nizhny Novgorod Engineering Company Atomenergoproekt and Russia-based Rosatom.

Rosatom temporarily handed over control of the 1,000-MW nuclear plant to Iran in September 2013. The plant has been online since 2011.
