Investment partnership formed for Texas wind energy project

GE Energy Financial Services, a subsidiary of GE, and E.ON Climate and Renewables North America LLC formed an investment partnership for a planned wind energy farm in Texas. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

GEFS provided 50 percent of the partnership equity in the 211-MW Grandview Phase I wind energy project in the Texas panhandle. The project is currently under construction and will use 118 GE 1.7-100 wind turbines, which GE will service under a five-year agreement. E.ON is managing construction of the project, and will provide operations and maintenance after it is completed in December.
