The annual 11thInternationalConferencefor “Energy and Climate Change” will take place during 10-12 October 2018 in Athens at the Cultural Centre of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) and at the amphitheater “Ioannis Drakopoulos” of the central building of the university.
The event is organized by the Energy Policy and Development Centre (KEPA) of NKUA.
The Conference is under the aegis of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) and of the United Nations
Academic Impact.
The first day under the title«3rdGreenInvestmentForum»aims at there in for cement of regional cooperation among the BSEC Member States targeting the attraction of “green investments” with emphasis on the sector of energy efficiency. The Forum is organized by KEPA and the International Permanent Secretariat of BSEC, while representatives from governments, multilateral banks, organizations and businesses that deal with green energy issues have been invited to present policies and activities.
In this frame work, KEPA invites companies from Greece and the BSEC Member States to participate at the Forum by presenting their activities and plans in regional scale.
On the second day scientific papers will be presented, after their successful peer-review by members of the Scientific Committee of the Conference. The papers concern issues related to energy policy, energy efficiency, renewable energy sources, bio-fuels, climate mitigation and adaptation policies, sustainable development. The participating speakers come from Hellenic and foreign universities, academies and research entities.
The third day with the title «Brokerage event» is divided into two parts. During the first part, presentations of projects funded by Hellenic and international entities/programs – and their out comes will take place. The second part concerns the presentation of open calls followed by discussions among participants for cooperation and submission of proposals (Horizon 2020, Interreg,etc).
The whole event is held in English language.
