Envision Energy, a global leader in green technology, has formally partnered with Menderes Tekstil, an Akca Holding company, to launch the 120MW Beğendik Wind Power Project in Edirne Province, Türkiye. This significant 120MW wind power deal was unveiled during the Envision Tech Day, held alongside the Turkish Wind Energy Congress in Ankara.
Beyond the development of the Beğendik wind farm, the two organizations signed a Strategic Cooperation Agreement, transitioning their relationship from a single-project collaboration into a long-term strategic alliance. This move is designed to accelerate renewable energy deployment and support the industrial decarbonisation of Türkiye.
The project will utilize 15 units of Envision’s advanced EN-182/8.0MW wind turbines. These high-capacity turbines are central to the strategy of improving project efficiency and long-term asset performance. To ensure sustained reliability, Envision Energy will provide comprehensive lifecycle services, including a 15-year operations and maintenance contract.
The 120MW wind power deal is projected to generate approximately 360 million kWh of clean electricity annually. By integrating this clean power into the national grid, the facility aims to offset around 225,000 tonnes of carbon emissions each year, contributing directly to the country’s net-zero ambitions.
