Power machines will deliver equipment for a thermal power plant in argentina

AI Summary

Power Machines and Central Piedra Buena S.A. company (a member of the Argentinean power holding company Pampa Energia) have signed a contract for the delivery of a set of blades for the steam turbine rotors of the first power unit of the Piedra Buena power plant.

The contract’s conclusion was preceded by a tender, during which the Russian power engineering company offered the best technical and economic solutions.

Under the contract’s conditions, Power Machines will manufacture and deliver a wide range of steam turbine rotor blades for low, medium and high pressure cylinders to the Argentinean plant. The new blades are intended for the repair of the rotor of a 300 MW steam turbine.

The delivery is scheduled for the first quarter of 2018.

For Reference

The Piedra Buena NPP operates two power units, with a total capacity of 620 MW. Their steam turbines and generators were manufactured in the period between 1979-1981, by the Leningradsky Metallichesky Zavod and Electrosila (members of the PJSC Power Machines).
