First Wind acquires Texas wind project from Westerly Wind

 

First Wind Texas Holdings II LLC, a subsidiary of First Wind Holdings LLC, has acquired Westerly Wind’s South Plains Wind Project, located in Floyd County, Texas.

The 400-MW project is a late stage development project located on approximately 51,000 acres. Westerly developed the project with Floyd County Wind Farm LLC.

The project is expected to deliver clean renewable power to the ERCOT power markets through the new CREZ transmission system.

Westerly Wind LLC, a subsidiary of Westerly South Plains LLC’s, provides development capital and expertise to the wind industry. South Plains is a limited liability company, formed to develop, construct, and operate the South Plains Wind Project.
